Wild Ginger started in 1978 as a small diner on Liberty Street, right across from
JAFB. From there to 585 Benden, and in 2004 we landed at our current home on
Burbank Road. Three locations, almost five decades, and a regular crew of
customers who've been with us most of the way.
The bones of the menu are still Cantonese: General Tso's, sweet and sour, Kung
Pao, the dishes we've been making since day one. Our fresh-made egg rolls and
wonton soup haven't changed because they don't need to. New ownership brought
newer additions too. An extensive sushi bar. Thai curries. Specials the kitchen
puts together when something good comes in.
Most popular thing on the menu? Easy. General Tso's chicken. The chef's favorite
to cook? Sea bass, every time. Whether you're a regular ordering the same thing
you've ordered for fifteen years or you're walking in for the first time, we're
glad you're here.
